DC-3 Gifts & Grill at Catalina's Airport in the Sky is OPEN. We invite customers to shop our amazing store for Catalina and aviation themed gifts, books, stuff for kids, jewelry, hiking accessories, sundries and more. Call ahead (310) 510-2196 for take out orders or come on in to enjoy food, snacks or beverages in the iconic Dining Room or on our beautiful outdoor patio. Regular business hours will be 8 am - 5 pm daily. The Grill serves hot entrees from 8:30 am - 4 pm. Vaccinated visitors and island residents are now welcome to enjoy DC-3's Gift Shop, Dining Room and Patio without wearing a mask. For your own safety and the wellbeing of others, we urge those who have not yet been vaccinated for the Coronavirus, to please wear a mask when indoors or when you cannot social distance from others.

Try a Big Bacon Scramble or a Burrito for breakfast. Buffalo Tacos are back, plus we have all of your favorite burgers and grilled sandwiches. Have some french fries or a green salad on the side. In the coming weeks, our summer menu may be expanding, but everything is always made fresh and delicious. We are all vaccinated for Covid-19 and hope you are too. Our staff remains committed to safely serve you and we thank you for your patronage.

Thanks to everyone visiting Catalina’s DC-3. We have been successful in keeping our team members healthy and continue to be committed to your safety and peace of mind. Our enhanced sanitation procedures remain in place in the food preparation and dining areas. Our patio has beautiful views and customers may also access our indoor dining area. Guests may choose to place orders in advance with a credit card to eat in the dining room, on the outdoor patio or to take away. We welcome all Islanders, pilots, hikers, bikers, adventurers and new friends who visit us at Airport in the Sky to shop, dine or enjoy a beverage comfortably with confidence.

It's time for YOU to get out into the interior of beautiful Catalina Island. Everyone can appreciate the beauty and serenity of our island this spring. DC-3 has hot delicious meals for breakfast, lunch or snacks. Beverages to cool your thirst or tickle your taste buds will delight even the youngest visitors. Our gift shop has sundries, hiking paraphernalia, Catalina apparel, sun hats, walking sticks, backpacks and a wide array of other fun stuff to commemorate your island adventure. Make Catalina's DC-3 your favorite stop of the day with an "Airport Cookie"; watch the planes land, discover the nearby soapstone quarry or just chill on the patio for awhile. If you don't have transportation or won't feel like hiking or biking, call the Airport Tower (310) 510-0143 and you can be whisked away in a comfortable shuttle van. C'mon up to DC-3 this spring.

Our Gift Shop has unique merchandise for everyone. Select from a variety of items including apparel, hats, jewelry, books, photos, mugs, magnets and one of a kind Catalina-inspired keepsakes. DC-3's children's section has plush collectible critters, toys kids will love and adorable clothing designs for toddlers and youngsters. We have great jewelry and accessories. Dads and Grandpas (who are hard to buy for) will love our collection of aviation and bison themed clothing and accessories. Don't forget to get some buffalo jerky for the road home. Dine on our beautiful patio on sunny days. After a delicious meal, enjoy a beverage and one of our incredible cookies. There's no place like the DC-3 at the Airport in the Sky in Catalina's spectacular interior--- it's not just a destination, it's an adventure.

Celebrating 60 years of Private Aviation at Catalina's Airport In the Sky

DC-3 Gifts & Grill in partnership with the Catalina Island Conservancy celebrated 60 years of private aviation at the Airport in the Sky (1959-2019) with a special "Fly-In" on Saturday May 25. The original "Sky Burger" served in 1959 was a beef patty on pumpernickel bread with grilled onions and white cheddar cheese. Complimentary baked beans and cole slaw were the side dishes on this special day, replicating what was originally served at the Airport Cafe. A great number of Aero Club pilots (some in their vintage planes) and visitors spent the day at the Airport enjoying freshly prepared burgers on the outdoor grill, door prizes and live music.
