How do I get to The Airport in the Sky?
fly
Catalina Airport is a small private plane airport with a 3,250 foot runway. It is literally an "Airport in the Sky" because you'll be landing on top of a mountain. Call Catalina Airport for more information. (310) 510-0143
drive
Catalina Airport provides a shuttle service from Avalon to the DC-3. You can stay all day or just a couple hours; the choice is yours. For shuttle information call (310) 510-0143. If you're coming up from Two Harbors or Little Harbor, call (310) 510-4205.
tour bus
Two companies run tours through the interior of the island and stop at the DC-3. Discovery Tours (310) 510-2000; Adventure Tours at (310) 510-2595.
bike
Biking permits are available through the Catalina Conservancy (310) 510-2495. Permits and helmets are required.
